Hornsby Art Prize won by Rew Hanks

In the 10th anniversary year of this award, the Hornsby Shire Council and Hornsby Art Society have awarded the major prize of the Hornsby Art Prize to Open Bite member Rew Hanks.

Rew’s magnificent lino cut entitled ‘Josephine’s Arc’ showcases his meticulous technique, all the more impressive due to the scale, which measures 105 x 75cm. The Hornsby Art Prize runs through to October 27th 2019 at the Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre 25 Edgeworth David Ave, Hornsby.

Rew’s work is also included in his current exhibition at the Michael Reid Gallery, Standard House, Mezzaine Level 105 Kippax St Surry Hills.

This exhibition closes on 13th November 2019

Congratulations on all counts Rew!
