Join Us – Membership

Upon acceptance, a one-off joining fee of $25 is required, along with a pro-rata portion of the annual membership fee. The full annual subscription of $70 is payable each August.

Additional costs may include exhibition fees and expenses related to setting up exhibitions.

Meetings

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of February, April, June, August, and October at the Royal Art Society, 25 Walker St, North Sydney, starting at 7:00 PM.
Members may attend either in person or online via a virtual meeting platform. If you are unable to attend, please notify the current secretary with an apology.
Attendance at a minimum of three meetings per year is a condition of membership.

Exhibiting with Open Bite Printmakers Inc.

Opportunities have included:

• Up to two annual group exhibitions

• Participation in the international print forum Imprint

• Invitations to exhibit at Sydney Contemporary – Works on Paper

• Collaborative exhibitions with other printmaking groups

Members’ solo exhibitions may also be promoted through Open Bite’s website and social media channels.

Expectations

As a volunteer-run organisation, Open Bite relies on respectful relationships and active participation. Members are expected to:

• Assist with exhibition preparation

• Staff galleries or deliver talks during exhibitions if required

• Take on roles within the executive team, exhibition committee, or digital teams (website/social media)

Optional gallery visits and our annual Christmas lunch offer additional opportunities to build connections with fellow printmakers.
